The Legend of the Silver Pinecone

We started our Advent calendar tonight. I’m so glad this was the first one we did. I have been so busy these last couple of weeks that i haven’t spent much time writing or planning blog posts.

This Advent lesson however, provided a great topic for a blog post. If you don’t know about the legend of the silver pinecone I would suggest looking it up. It really is a neat story.

You see, the mother in this story obeyed just as I hope that I am obeying God. Even when the mother was tired, she received just what she needed to give her a boost for her to continue on.

With me being so busy these last couple weeks, I feel like I have been running on fumes. Yet each time I thought I could do no more, I received a blessing that gave me the drive to push on.

So we made our silver pine cones tonight and will leave them on our table. I can’t wait to see what else this Advent calendar has in store for us.

Also, I know that I have mentioned on more than one occasion that stairs are extremely difficult for Cade.  I decided to upload a video to show you exactly what I mean.

He does get embarrassed by going up the stairs.  So if we don’t attend something that you think you should see us at, this may be why.

For now though, I am choosing to be grateful that he can still climb stairs!

Blessings. Lynnette
