It has been a very busy Christmas holiday. And we still aren’t done yet. It has been amazing to be able to spend time with our family. We have been blessed this year to also gain some new friends who are very dear to us.
Cade has done fairly well with everything so far. He has gotten extremely tired though. So tired that I made him lay beside me on Christmas day to rest a little.
The work on making the church handicap accessible is progressing. We have met with a vendor and have now had a contractor out to give an estimate. Next step will be approval and funding so we can start!!
We also continue to research all things chicken!! The boys are excited to start this adventure in the spring. Something for them to look forward to!
One of the most amazing things occurred though that makes me feel blessed to live in the community we live in. Whoever did this wished to remain anonymous so we are unsure of who it is. We do want that person to know that we have prayed for you and hope that you are blessed this year as you have blessed our family.
Someone left a gift for Cade and an envelope for Cole with some friends. You cannot imagine the excitement from each boy as the opened their gift. I wish I would have taken video of the whole event. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
I am attaching the video of Cade playing with his new toy. I have never seen one of these before and it is absolutely amazing. My house will never be the same though!
Please ignore the shirtless-ness of Cade. That’s just how we “roll” at our house. It does allow me to show you one more example of a Duchenne trait however. Notice his shoulder blades. Apparently they stick out that much because of his DMD. We just thought it might have to do with him being such a little guy.
Blessings. Lynnette
