We have been taking advantage of any nice day, which hasn’t been as many as we would like, to continue working on the coop. We have now moved the coop to its permanent location. We have also began work on the pen. We have several of the posts placed and even now have some of the wire put up.
We have also completed 2 sections of the raised garden. They have turned out really nice and they should also be extremely sturdy. Brent welded the outside frame and the rest of us have helped put the boards into it.
It has been a lot of fun working on these projects as a family. It’s great that Cade can be involved and help build the beds too. Just one more to go and then we will be ready to start filling them.
I made a grid for the boys and each of them have determined what they would like to grow in their sections. We have already went seed shopping too!
Every time we drive by Orscheln and Shopko, Cade always asks if they have plants yet. The snow and cold weather doesn’t seem to deter him enough. I’m sure that once we finish the last box and bring them to their location he will be even more determined to get to planting.
One last thing that has occurred this week is reason number 5001 why I love our church. Cade got to be liturgist today at church. He was so excited and did a really nice job.
We have a field trip coming up this week that should be fun. Cade is excited for it. I’m a little nervous since this will be the first time that we have done anything like this with his class since his diagnosis. His friends are absolutely amazing and I get to come along as a volunteer so it should be just fine.
I’ll post about the trip next week.
Blessings. Lynnette
❤ Thank you for sharing the pictures😊 It makes my heart smile to see Cade working on the garden bed and also speaking at church.
